Curious about this one. Marked as BLM but has two hangars on it. Strip looks to be in good shape. If it isn't private and needs a windsock, maybe put one up.
Prior to my arrival l spoke with Paul (right-of-way holder and steward of the BLM property on which this strip is located). He gave me the go ahead to land and park my plane for a few days. The strip is in good condition and the wind sock as well. Surface is deteriorating asphalt—gravel for all intents and purposes. I pulled the few weeds that had popped up after the last storm, but it was all in good shape. Mind the power lines on the north end and keep an I out for sheep that graze in the area at certain times of the year. People also camp nearby so keep that in mind as you are clearing the area. As a side note, I had permission to park between the two hangers. The ground here slope slightly to the south. Upon my return, I had one tank full and one empty. I estimate I lost about 4 gallons of fuel through the tank vent and my entire wing had fuel stains from the evaporation. Rookie mistake.
South side of the road is all BLM park land
