Description: Strongly suggest obtaining local knowledge prior to landing for the first time. Landing strip currently leased to Utah Back Country Pilots for non-commercial use only. UBCP requests no man-made artifacts (drill bits, tools, etc.) be removed. Emergency water and runway grading tools in shack.

Runways: RWY 9 is uphill 1.38% and has displaced threshold due to overgrown brush. East end 50 feet higher. Touch down point may be difficult to determine by the first time visitor. Threshold markers should be present.

Additional runway 18/36: 845 feet long x 50 feet wide, very soft dirt. Slightly uphill to the north.

Approach Considerations: Unfamiliar pilots should positively identify the touchdown zone as the runway appears to be longer than it is. Recommend land east, depart west.

Amenities: Parking areas are at east end and very soft.

Windsock: Wind sock west of miner's shack.

Airstrip and camping areas are in great shape. Measured runways to update website with correct lengths. Rwy 09-27 is 1385’ (to the cones). Runway is soft but in great condition. Threshold cones are faded and nearly impossible to see on approach but the cleared area (which begins at the cones) is very distinct. Rwy 18-36 is 845’ (cleared area). Runway appears to have been recently cleared and is in good/usable condition but quite soft.

I am sure there will be several reports from the clean up today but I was easily able to navigate the main runway on my small tires and now both runways should be usable with caution. Several rocky areas near the intersection of the runways, great stop! Sorry lens was dirty.

Did not land but dragged the strip a few times while evaluating the strip conditions. I've attempted this strip a few times but the conditions never seemed to align. The strip was a little rough even for my HD Trike (8.5 MLG, 6.0 HD NLG). Windsock looks to be torn off its frame. This is a tricky one for me but I look forward to the day I can land the strip safely.

Very scenic and beautiful landscape. My tires were just too small for how rough this strip is. There are large rocks protruding from the ground on the airstrip. I would suggest 850’s or larger to not beat up your airframe during your ground role. I plan to return and explore once I get larger tires.
