The Point of Rocks airstrip is a primitive road that was recently recognized by the BLM as OHV-Open. Users of this airstrip should exercise caution for potential use by other OHVs.
Point of rocks is shared with the road, so use caution for vehicles. It is generally a north south runway. There are not any great pull offs or camping spots, but could be cleaned up pretty easily and added. There is some mining piles on the east and on the west when landing and a fence on the eastern side of the runway so use caution and probably more appropriate for high wings. The road has been recently graded and is in good shape.
The Point of Rocks airstrip was recognized as a Primitive Road in the 2025 Henry Mountains and Fremont Gorge TMP given the designation WYBD0169 as OHV-OPEN. You can view this TMP by clicking here.
