Same as last report. Several patches of cacti that need to be removed (on my to-do list). On the shorter side of usable, approximately 450-500'.

Patchy areas of cacti on the runway surface. Several tall (6-8 ft) junipers and numerous smaller junipers (2-3 ft) are easy enough to avoid on landing or takeoff. The runway surface has patchy grass and is somewhat uneven, not pothole uneven, but probably not suitable for tricycle gear.

Landed here Saturday and nothing new to report. Strip has overgrowth, but doable for STOL capable aircraft. Sharing pictures from the strip and side canyon hike right next to the strip. Random artwork in what appears to be a random location. Interesting and unique find.

Fairly easy spot for STOL capable planes. Needs some minor work to clear out cactus and overgrowth. Land uphill NE, takeoff downhill SW. Question: What are the rules for clearing out overgrowth on the strip?

light maintenance like removing cactus or sage brush with hand tools on the already disturbed footprint of the airstrip is allowed.

Other than large bushwheel tire and great STOL performers, I don’t think this strip is landable. Lots of growth and no sign of use in many years. There is a well groomed road very close and basically parallel to the strip that could be landed if there where a real reason to land here.

Likely never recognized by the USGS due to its proximity to Radium King Road, the airstrip was presuambly created to support uranium mmining efforts that boomed in the 1950s across southern Utah.
