Need to get a windsock on this one and maybe go do some more maintenance.

Vehicles have worn a pretty deep track in the center of the strip, probably 8” deep in places. I landed on the west side of the track, and it was a little rough and overgrown, but usable. I didn’t see any wild horses today, but the area is inhabited by a small herd of them. Note the lovely stud pile in the foreground of one picture.

What a fantastic spot. We removed some sage and tossed all the rocks we could find off the west side of the runway. The surface condition and length should be suitable for most backcountry aircraft. Use caution for the hill at the south end. The runway width is very narrow west of the two track...about 15ft in places. (less to the east) Takeoffs will most likely be towards the north due to the hill and runway slope. Camping spots and room to turn around at either end. Plenty of firewood and fire rings to keep you entertained. No cell coverage.

Road down the middle means landing to the side of it is the best option. Lumpy grass surface, best for big tires. Nice spot, high elevation.
