Prime candidate for work party and windsock.

Willow Flats is in great overall condition, although the wind sock is missing. The northwest end of the longer runway has some sagebrush encroaching on it.

Overflew as it was too windy and variable to land. On the main runway from the SE there appears to be a fairly heavily used animal trail that may also be rutted from runoff. It is pretty easy to see and looks like it can be avoided. I will land it and get a closer look the next time I am up there. The abandoned camper from the previous report is still there.

Some larger sage brush that can fairly easily be avoided. I landed to the north for winds and there are some ruts from a UTV or jeep in the runway about 1/3 to 1/2 way down. They were visible from the air on a low flyby. The main north south runway is a little better than the crosswind strip. No windsock but there is a pole available. There is an abandoned camper in the trees south of the crosswind strip and east of the main strip. It was fun to explore. Beautiful area.

Northern 3rd of runway has good sized sage brush. Pulled a bunch of small ones, but big ones require tools. Still plenty of runway, but north end needs work. Looks like a good place to camp. Did not inspect the crosswind.

Did a fly by only of Willow Flats. The north south runway looked pretty good with what looked like some sage brush plants growing in a few spots. I did not land due to winds, but with better wind conditions if headed south I would have landed a little long as there seemed to be less plants towards the middle of the strip. I did not see a windsock. Camping looks great around the area. There was a heard of wild horses very close to the cross wind strip.
