Description: Cedar Mountain's airstrip rests atop the similarly named Cedar Mountain, providing panoramic views of the Wasatch Plateau, Book Cliffs, Henry and La Sal Mountains.

Runway: 2000 feet long x 40 feet wide, well maintained gravel and dirt.

Approach Considerations: Southern end of the runway ends with a nice 1,500 feet vertical drop. Runway slopes uphill to the south. Be cognizant of vehicular traffic that may be driving on the southern end of the airstrip (Cedar Mountain Road runs through the runway).

Strip is in great condition. First time camping there and did not disappoint. Views to the south are spectacular, especially as the sun sets.

Overflew Saturday. That sock sure looks good. Unfortunately, it looks like some reprobate decided to spin multiple doughnuts on the strip in a vehicle or UTV. Couldn't tell the depth from the air, but there were 5-6 deep-ish looking circles.

Strip is in beautiful condition - best I've seen in a few years. Super smooth, no ruts, and totally dry. No snow at all on the entire mountain.
