Eric Klein visited Grand Gulch 7 months ago in a C182P with 850x6 mains, 800x6 nose tires

Ditto my last report, but with a few more loose rocks on the runways this time, and this time I had big wheels. I assume landings are dislodging the rocks over time. We walked the part of 17/35 between the cross runway intersection to the turnaround area north of there and tossed aside anything we wouldn’t want to run over at speed. I recommend everyone do the same when you visit. What a gem.

Marc Lassaux visited Split Mountain Air 8 months ago in a ICP Savannah S with 21 tires

This is a great place and fun strip. I stopped in to help a friend who had an issue with his plane and Eric and Lisa were great to meet and so accommodating and nice. I will definitely be back for a visit.

I flew over in the RV to get pictures. Airstrip looks awesome. BIG thanks to UBCP member Brett White out of Huntington and Emery County for their work on this airstrip!! I hope to go enjoy it in the coming days and do some hiking in the area.

Eric Berg visited Dolores Point 8 months ago in a C182 with 8.0 tires

Unfortunately, vehicle ruts 4-6” deep on NE side runway. Plenty of room if you stick to the right landing on 14. Would cause a problem if a wheel hooked in one. I picked up trash and one half-assed fire ring showed burn from fire extending 10’ out. This evening sun tonight was a PIA. It’s much nicer in the AM and colors are more vibrant.

Kyle Stone visited Winter Ridge 8 months ago in a Glasair Sportsman (Trike) with 8.50 tires

First time landing this airstrip and its was in good shape. There are some scrub brush at the north end and south end but in between is pretty clear. I stopped and parked on the south end just before the runway slope increases. There is at least 2500 feet of usable runway. There is a weather station next to the strip but I could not find any markings/ownership information.
