All Airstrip Reports
Good condition on the airstrip. Dirt, landing north slightly uphill. Spectacular canyon to the south!
Wish I could safely get over the Continental divide here in Boulder this time of year! Drives me nuts I cant enjoy the flying out there during our windy season here!
6 months agoWe had four planes, Maule, Husky, Highlander and my Bearhawk, as always this strip is a bit of a rodeo with a few humps and some rough spots. This is a VERY remote strip and you have to expect a bit of a rough strip, but a thorough flyover inspection can give you an idea of of where to touchdown to not land into a hump which can throw you up into the air. Takeoffs from the miner’s cabin area can eliminate some bumps if you have the performance to give up 300’ of runway.
Piper Cherokee 6 with 6.00 x 6 tires. Surface tacky and firm, excellent condition.
